Get To Know:
Maureen

If you’ve had breakfast at the Clubhouse restaurant at Bitter End, chances are that you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Maureen Sprauve.
Maureen started at Bitter End in 1986 in housekeeping, and it was clear even back then that she was really friendly and outgoing, so a spot where she could interact with the guests was in store for her. She soon moved to the Emporium (and Pub, back then), and then was promoted to morning cashier at the Clubhouse restaurant, where you will find her today. In that role, she is responsible for making sure everyone is accounted for, and receives the proper checks. More importantly, she also handles the Clubhouse Restaurant’s VHF radio, fielding lunch and dinner reservations that come in from boat visitors. Maureen is from Virgin Gorda, and lives in Gun Creek.
As true proof that the apple does not fall far from the tree, Maureen (a past Employee of the Year), is mother to Captain Kinto Sprauve (also a past Employee of the Year), the one-man entertainment machine who leads guests on the snorkel excursions aboard Ponce de Leon. Friendliness runs in the family! Next time you are in the Clubhouse, look up Maureen. Being greeted by her warm smile is a great way to start the day!
