Marielle Arnaud



Marielle Arnaud joined the Food and Beverage team in the fall of 2006, but this is the first time she has slowed down long enough to share some of her background! As Assistant Director of Food and Beverage, she works with John O’Shaughnessy to keep the restaurants running, and oversees food and beverage planning for special events at Bitter End.

Marielle was born in Trinidad, and was interested in the business of making visitors comfortable and welcome from a very young age. She attended the Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality Training Institute before starting her career on Tobago. From there, she set off to see a bit of the world, and went to work in England. And, as frequently happens when anyone visits our corner of paradise, Marielle came to the BVI on vacation with friends, fell in love with the place, interviewed and accepted a job in Tortola! There she became acquainted with Bitter End’s General Manager Mikhail Shamkin, and when the need for someone at Bitter End arose, she was the first person Mikhail thought of.
Marielle enjoys Bitter End for its proximity to the water, the beauty of its surroundings, its seclusion and tranquility, and really enjoys sharing that with guests who visit and celebrate at Bitter End.
