Get To Know:
Bull and Power

We’d like to introduce you to a couple of fellows that you might not meet during your stay at Bitter End, but who are integral parts of the heart of what goes on in our corner of paradise. Bull and Power are kind of like the Dynamic Duo of Bitter End, our own version of Batman and Robin. They are both dedicated to ensuring they do whatever is within their power to contribute to the guest experience at Bitter End.

Leslie “Bull” Bascombe

Leslie Bascombe

Bull has been a critical part of the Bitter End team for 23 Years, originally moving to the BVI for his home country of Grenada. He began his career as a houseman in the Housekeeping Department and is now a Supervisor in Housekeeping. “Bull” is a well earned nick name – his contributions do not begin and end with Housekeeping! – he can be found assisting every department within Bitter End. Thankfully, he is tireless! Bull resides in Gun Creek on Virgin Gorda, and ladies, he is an eligible bachelor so if he ever slows down long enough to get married, he will make a great catch for some lucky girl.

Newfus “Power” Brown

Newfus Brown

Power moved to Virgin Gorda from St Vincent in the 80’s and soon after started working at the Bitter End in the Grounds Department, and he still works part time on the grounds while working full time as a Bellman. A rare quality for many, Power says he grew up in a hard working family and that’s why he is not satisfied until the job is done. Power lives on Virgin Gorda with his wife, Lauren, and two girls Kellan and Carisse, and on those few occasions when Power is not working at the Bitter End, you may find him limin’ with his friends or guess what? -- working in his yard.
We are proud and glad to have both Bull and Power at Bitter End!
