Vera Richards, aka “V”
Originally from Cayon, St. Kitts, Vera joined Bitter End Yacht Club’s team in 1994, working for the housekeeping department. After toiling behind the scenes for six years, the Quarterdeck Marina was lucky enough to be able to steal her away. Now she is quite the waterfront maven! She came to the waterfront with virtually no knowledge of a cleat or a knot, or bow from stern. Now she can be seen “making fast” an arriving dock guest, or assisting and joking around with our Quarterdeck members. Vera is also responsible for the immaculate condition of both the Freedom 30s and the Bradley 22s. Take care though—when “V” is on a mission and you are in the way, you might get hosed down and scrubbed with a deck brush!
Vera is passionate about her approach to the Quarterdeck Marina. “I never knew that the waterfront could be so much fun,” says V. “I love to interact with the wonderful guests and staff that I work with on a daily basis.”
