Scott Allerton, CaribKiteboarding

Scott Allerton, owner and operator of CaribKiteboarding, hails from Florida where he and his family have run a watersports shop for the last ten years. With his background in gymnasticsas a competitor and a coachit was an easy transition six years ago into the newest extreme sport, kiteboarding.
There is no doubt that he and his crew at CaribKiteboarding can take you from a rank beginner to gracefully flying across the Kool Aid blue water of North Sound. CaribKiteboarding is also ready when the days aren’t so windyyou can charter Just One, a MasterCraft ski boat, complete with a captain and access to all of the wake boards, wakeskates and assorted pull toys.
Basic lessons start at $150 for 90 minutes and you can get complete sail training packages. Stop by the Watersports desk to find out more.

Chris Relf, Kilbrides Sunchaser Scuba

Chris Relf (no, he’s not Australian!) has been working for Sunchaser Scuba in the BVI as a PADI MSDT (Master Scuba Diver Trainer, aka Instructor) since 2004 and he became Dive Operations Manager in October 2005.
Diving recreationally since 1989, he started out as a BSAC diver in slightly colder waters (two clues to his nationality). Chris took a “3 month” break in 2002 from a career in computers that had taken him all over the world, and went to Thailand to swap over from BSAC to PADI and become a Dive Master. He then went on to Malaysia and Australia to become a PADI Instructor, then onto Vanuatu when he became an MSDT and finally landed in the BVI.
“3 months” must mean something different where he comes from! Chris tends to leave most of the diving to the rest of team so he’s in the office upstairs to rent out masks and snorkels or answer any questions you may have. Kilbrides offers the PADI dive course for beginners and multiple daily dive excursionsswing by the dive shop and find out more from Chris!
