Snorkel Boogie with Kinto Sprauve

Kinto Sprauve
Kinto Sprauve - "I love music and I love people."

“I love music and I love people. I just want to make sure they have a good time and that they come back to snorkel with me again.”

It can’t be said any better than that.

Kinto Sprauve graduated from high school in 1996 and began working at Bitter End that same summer. He started as bus boy in the Clubhouse and quickly graduated to waiter. His great smile and sense of humor made him an instant favorite. Quickly establishing himself as one of Bitter End’s top employees, he garnered employee of the month honors many times and was the 2000 Employee of the Year.

Guest Activities Director “Gord-O” Overing recognized the star power of this young man and approached him about working in the Watersports department. Not willing to give up his night job, Kinto agreed to do a double shift.

“Working in the restaurant was fun, but as soon as I started leading snorkel trips, I realized that this was what I wanted to do. The freedom to create new and exciting trips for the guests is great. I am responsible for making sure they are safe and that they have a great time.”

Guests often ask where the local snorkeling trips will go. It’s best to leave it up to Kinto. He will find the best spot based on the day’s weather and water conditions, and he’s got a few secret spots up his sleeve as well.

Kinto also captains the seasonal “Kids Only Cruise.” While parents enjoy their own sunset sail, Kinto and crew take the youngsters out for a private tour of the harbor. After the tour, everyone heads to the Clubhouse for a Kinto-hosted dinner and movie at the Sand Palace. The kids have a great time together and with Bitter End’s biggest kid, Kinto!

Kinto is also known for his great music selection, and his boom box is never far away. It is not uncommon to see Kinto come back from a snorkel trip with a boatload of soggy guests boogying on the fore deck of Ponce de Leon.

It doesn’t get any better than that. Come see for yourself!
