It Just Keeps Getting Better
"Some of the best memories we have come from our trips here. Some of our best memories to come (I'm certain) will be from our our trips to the BEYC. Happy Anniversary!" P&G.
Every week is a celebration at Bitter End, but 2005 is 52 weeks of special celebration for us. Bitter End Yacht Club is 30!
February 28 marked the official opening day 30 years ago, and we threw quite a party. Family, friends old and new, and our neighbors joined in for an evening of reminiscence, libations and good food, stories, dancing and music and fireworks over North Sound (30th Party). Because 30 only comes around once, we’ll celebrate again this summer, on July 29th.
Summer vacation is almost upon us! We have formalized the great programs for kids and families that Gordo and the watersports staff run. This summer, Kids Camp at Bitter End is the place to be. Kids who aren’t quite ready to go away to camp will find the activities and learn-to sessions of the Kids Camp seriously fun. From sailing and snorkeling to kids-only dinner cruises, kids will have quite an experience. Bitter End is also a great rendezvous spot for families with kids in the sailing summer programs in the region, such as those offered by Sail Caribbean (Kids Camp). And, kids under 5 are free this summer!
July also means the sounds, moves and tastes of our Latin neighbors during the Sea and Salsa Celebration. Chefs from Puerto Rico will share their favorite cuisine, and no one will be able to resist stepping to a salsa beat (Celebration).
On the waterfront, we’ve had a busy spring, with the big boats stopping in during the BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival, and the Nautor ClubSwan Rendezvous, and this summer we’ll welcome Tiara, Viking, Hatteras and Bertram owners and wish-to-be owners for their own rendezvous (Events).
Our 19th annual Pro Am Regatta is going to be exciting: we’ve expanded the schedule to give guests more on the water time with the hosts (Pro Am) and all who will be here will witness and if so bold, participate in the match race of the year, between Russell Coutts and Paul Cayard.
In response to our guests’ recommendations (and to make room for our expanded Pro Am), we have moved Women on the Water Week to January (Women).
It’s amazing… in our little corner of paradise, our enthusiastic and committed staff is regularly creating a new adventure (Adventure) or enhancing the amenities we offer (Comfort), as a result of the esprit we share with our guests to ensure the greatest vacation experience ever.
