Multimillion Dollar Renovation Underway

In the last half of 2003, the Hokins worked with Barbara Hulanicki to create a fresh new look for the Beachfront Villas that retained their best features and enhanced and improved the amenities that needed a little help.
During Holiday Season 2003, we unleashed our guests on the sample rooms, to get their feedback and suggestions, since, after all, all of this renovation work is to make our guests vacation experiences more comfortable and memorable. For the most part, the guests enjoyed the new rooms, especially the beautiful wood detail that was revealed under years of varnish, the sunflower shower head and the overall bathroom design and detailing.
Not everything is perfect, however. New renovations look great but purple wall outside does not fit in with Polynesian décor, was a comment from one guest. And, while the folding glass doors out to the balcony are quite beautiful, guests found them to be awkward to use and an obstruction of the view from inside the room.
So, while Barbara and the Hokins work out the last few bugs (dont worry, there will be no purple walls!), Bitter End is forging ahead with the renovation plans. By Holiday Season 2004, there will be more renovated Beachfront Villas for guests to stay in, as well as other subtle changes around the resort that will only make the Bitter End experience more well-rounded and complete. Stay tuned!
