Kiteboarding Comes to Bitter End

The latest water sports craze has made its way to Bitter End and the North Sound is one of the best locations in the world for this radical new sport.
Extreme Sports, based in southern Florida, completed all the steps necessary to set up shop in the BVI, and they chose Bitter End as their base of operations. Under the name Carib Kiteboarding, Scott Allerton and his partner Lee Steiner opened with a bang: they invited Kiteboarding magazine and over one dozen world class riders to Bitter End to stage a photo and video shoot of the BVI. Enjoying classic BVI winds, riders performed jaw dropping stunts designed to keep many chiropractors and orthopedists in business for years. Top international pros included Corky Cullen, Pete Weisburg, Jason Sleezak, Justin Souter, Chuck Patterson, Hamish McDonald, Andy Hurdaman, Adam Koch and Dimitri Mariimenidas. Slingshot team riders Hamish McDonald and Justin Souter have stayed on after the shoot and are now part of the Carib Kiteboarding team.
Carib Kiteboarding has developed an instruction method that maximizes students time on the water, increases safety and gets students up and riding as soon as possible, making for a more effective learning experience. All kite school equipment is the latest in design and technology, and customized specifically for Carib Kiteboarding. They have a fleet of three specialized boatstwo sixteen foot inflatable boats and a twenty three foot center consolefor lessons and transporting guests and equipment. And of course, Carib Kiteboarding is a PASA (Professional Air Sports Association) certified kiteboarding school.
Have fun and learn to kiteboard from the best at Bitter End. Carib Kiteboarding offers lessons for entry level riders as well as experienced riders looking to improve their skills. And in order to make the best use of the daily weather conditions, instructors can give lessons from one of our beautiful beaches, or from one of the boats in their fleet. Trips to the kiter-friendly beaches of other nearby islands are also available. Carib Kiteboarding uses Slingshot 2004 equipment exclusively and kiteboarding gear is available for sale and rent.
