The Second in a Series:
BEYC’s Quarterdeck Club Invitational Fishing Tournament, May 24–25, 2003

You too can land the big one—come join us!

The first contest netted the largest inshore catch we've ever seen at 190 pounds--soaking wet. Alas, it was a captain’s crew member that he had to fish out of the sea. Next up-and the first prize winner-was a 35 pound wahoo.*

Hosted by Brent Hollink and the Quarterdeck Marina, anglers and their families are invited to take part in the Invitational Fishing Tournament May 24-25, 2003. Fish and enjoy great shoreside evening entertainment that will include a Pub Party and a Final Awards Ceremony and Dinner.

The contest is open to sportfishing boats of all makes and sizes. Cash prizes will be awarded for Best Overall Weight and Biggest Fish, in addition to other great overall and daily prizes for top female angler, youngest angler, and the biggest wahoo, dolphin, tuna and kingfish.

Contest Schedule:

May 23 – Registration and Welcome Party at the Pub.

May 24 – Quarterdeck Club Reception at the Pool; Election of Honorary QD Commodore and Flag Officers (see “Quarterdeck News” for further information).

May 25 – Final Awards Ceremony & Dinner at the Almond Walk (dinner included in entry fee).

For those looking to make a vacation of it, come early and enjoy the best weather and amenities and activities to be had at Bitter End and in the Caribbean. There is plenty to do ashore for all… enjoy our pool and beaches, and all the fantastic watersports activities for kids and adults.

Guests staying in the hotel are invited and encouraged to join in the fun. In addition to Bitter End’s Mako 23 fishing boat and Bradley 22s, local charter fishing boats (from smaller open boats to larger Bertrams) will be available for hotel guests, at an additional fee, by prior reservation. E-mail fishing charterboat inquiries to Brent Hollink at quarterdeckclub@beyc.com.

The entry fee is $100 per rod, with a minimum of $400 per boat. The first five boats to register and pay the $100 deposit receive free dockage for the first night of the Contest!

For more information, contact Brent Hollink at 284-494-2746 ext. 315 or e-mail Quarterdeck Club at quarterdeckclub@beyc.com, or e-mail the Reservations Office at binfo@beyc.com.
