 Published:  Get to Know: Bartenders Extraordinaire Gunny and Willis Algernon “Gunny” George  Algernon George, called Gunny, is one of our longest working bartenders at Bitter End Yacht Club. He has been employed since September 24th 1975 as a Bar Supervisor. Gunny is from Virgin Gorda and knows a lot of the island history for many, many years back. Working mostly in the evenings, Gunny is expert at making the local and international cocktails. He’s beloved by all our repeat guests and his fellow staff, because he is very cool, prompt and a proper kind of guy who takes his work seriously. He’s quick when serving and makes his cocktails to perfection. He is just naturally cool, always making sure that all his customers are well taken care of. Willis Richards  Willis is the other of our longest working bartenders. He has been at Bitter End since March 1980, as a bartender, but he has also performed duties as a guest taxi driver. Willis makes guests the famous local and international cocktails, and he is a very quiet man, but get to know him – he loves to share jokes and tell funny stories that will have you giggling throughout your stay. He’s very hard working, always making sure that all his guests have been served right. He’s beloved by everyone that comes in contact with him.
