Mary Jos Most Romantic Couple

Mary Racila and Jeffrey Folsom
Everyone loves a good fairy tale. From a very young age, girls dream of their handsome princes and boys imagine their beautiful princesses. As they grow older, they start to think of their current boyfriends or girlfriends and wonder, Will this be the one? A few years down that yellow brick road the fantasy turns into the handsome groom and the beautiful bride, and everyone lives happily ever after.
This is how it all started for Mary Racila: a fairy tale dream. And it did come true. Mary and her family have been coming to Bitter End from the time she was 13 years old. When she came the first time, she thought Bitter End would someday be the perfect spot for her wedding, and over the years her idea of getting married at Bitter End Yacht Club never wavered.
While attending Elmhurst College, Mary met the man of her dreams, Jeffrey Folsom. They dated for eight years and on September 11, 2000, they got engaged. The fantasies turned into reality: they married at St. Ursulas Catholic Church on Virgin Gorda and they even arranged to bring their family priest, Father Mario DeCicco, to perform the ceremony. Family and friends came to partake of this dream wedding followed by a champagne reception and gourmet feast held on the Clubhouse terrace overlooking North Sound.
Their guests departed with great memories and beautiful pictures while Mary and Jeff spent their honeymoon sailing, snorkeling and dreaming of their life together as husband and wife. When they returned to their home in Villa Park, Illinois, Mary went back to work as the Production Manager of Frai Noi, Chicagos Italian American newspaper and Jeff resumed trading the DOW Jones Futures. But you can bet they are already making plans for that return visit to Bitter End. What better place to celebrate their first anniversary than where the fairy tale began all those years ago?
