Get to Know:
Bernard Charles and Kinto Sprauve
Bernard Charles

Anyone who has been to Bitter End has probably noticed a tall good looking staff member with tree trunk biceps and a devilish grin. Of course, we are talking about Captain Bernie. Bernie first arrived in the BVI from Dominica in 1984, and went to work as a watersports staff member for the nearby Tradewinds Resort. When Bitter End and Tradewinds merged in 1988, Bernie came with the deal.
Seabourn, as he likes to call himself, quickly moved up the ranks among the boat captains, and is now one of the few staff members capable of operating every boat in our fleet (including our staff ferries on occasion). We have yet, however, to see him on a windsurfer. Although his first love is fishing, it is not uncommon to see Bernie sailing the Paranda or running the Corinthian. So the next time you see Mr. Biceps, pat him on the back and say Hep Yo! Gordo Overing
.
Kinto Sprauve

A steady calypso beat can be heard across the Sound from aboard the Ponce de Leon as Captain Kinto navigates his way through Eustatia Reef. With his mothers smile and sense of humor (Maureen, who works in the Clubhouse), Kinto entertains all the guests on his local snorkel trips.
Now working on his sixth year at Bitter End, this strapping young lad now focuses all his efforts on Watersports since taking a break from his double-duty, working in the Clubhouse. Whether its moray eels, lobsters, or sea turtles youre after, Kinto knows which stops to take you to.
If the snorkeling isnt entertaining enough, in between snorkeling spots, Kinto pumps up the volume on his radio and shows off some of his dance moves. Be sure to experience Kintos invigorating persona on your next visit. Ben Tuff
