Improved Airport at Beef Island

The 3,500 square foot overgrown garage that once doubled as a terminal is now gone. In its place is a 20,000 square foot structure modeled on the likes of San Francisco International Airport. Still open air and non-air-conditioned, the new terminal is nonetheless very cool and breezy. And despite having numerous kiosks, offices, and ticket counters, the new airport maintains the charm of the old -children can still be seen chasing errant roosters through this terminal.
Upon de-planing, one still proceeds through Customs and Immigration, but only after picking up ones luggage on a real luggage conveyor belt! After exiting Customs and Immigration, Bitter End guests are met by a representative of the North Sound Express at the ground transportation kiosks. A waiting van takes them down to the North Sound Express office at the dock at Trellis Baya mere 300 yards away. Guests are welcome to stroll down to the dock while the van takes their luggage. At the dock office guests are offered a cool refreshing beverage and ticketed aboard the North Sound Express John O Point for the 30-minute ride to the Bitter Ends front dock.
