BVI Spring Regatta Expands: Puts Bitter End on Schedule
Racing sailors, hoist your sails! Bitter End will no longer just be a sponsor of the famed BVI Spring Regatta the resort will be a stop on the schedule!
The BVI Spring Regatta program for 2003 has been expanded to include some point to point and pursuit racing (deemed festival racing) in addition to the fantastic course racing its always been known for. Registration takes place on
Monday, March 31st: Registration takes place at Nanny Cay on Tortola.
Tuesday, April 1st: Race from Tortola to Bitter End in the newly christened Bitter End Cup. Prizes will be awarded for single-handed, double-handed, and family crewed teams, in addition to the fully-crewed prizes.
Wednesday, April 2nd: Lay Day with North Sound-based activities planned.
Thursday, April 3rd: Pursuit racing to Sandy Cay, followed by a great party.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will feature closed course racing, and the possibility of an Around Tortola Race.
Join in for the whole week, just the Festival portion (Monday through Thursday), or just the Regatta portion (Friday through Sunday). The Bitter Ends Freedom 30 fleet, as well as its J-24s, will be available for all or part of the program. Come join in the reverie. For more information on the regatta, go to www.bvispringregatta.org.
