Vikings Invade Bitter End

This past May, 24 sleek and sexy Viking Yachts, and their owners and crews, convened at Bitter End for the 3rd Annual Caribbean Viking Yacht Rendezvous. “It was quite a sight to view over $25 million of Viking Yachts docked at the Bitter End’s Quarterdeck Club Marina,” according to Viking’s Cathy Macausland.

The yacht owners spent an action packed three days at BEYC, attending morning seminars in the Conference Center. The seminars included information on the latest developments and newest technologies for Viking Yachts, practical advice on engine maintenance and a special course on boat handling for spouses.

Not everything was all work, though. Rendezvous members had time each day to enjoy the abundance of activities at Bitter End. There was an afternoon beach barbeque and Hobie Wave regatta on the blue waters of the North Sound as well as a plethora of beach games. An evening’s entertainment and dancing featured the music of the Latitude Stars and BEYC Beverage Manager Terence Linton offered an intense course on “Caribbean Mixology”, teaching the perfect blender technique for making Bushwhackers, Painkillers and our famous Lemon Crush 16 Sounders. Everyone passed with flying colors.

As the Vikings sailed away from Bitter End, roaring about the success of this year’s Rendezvous, they laid plans for next year’s invasion.
