Race Announcement
P2003 Midwinter Regatta of Champions,
January 1118, 2003
Join us for the 2003 Midwinter Regatta of Champions, scheduled for January 11 to 18. Each year Bitter End hosts the winners (and select runners-up) of our popular Sunday Regattas who return for a week of racing and fun. Over the course of the week, skippers test their skills in both Lasers and Rhodes 19s. Skippers may choose to do one class, or the other, or both.
While competitive racing is on tap, the emphasis is on fun. The schedule leaves plenty of off-time for snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, beachcombing, and hiking. After each days racing, competitors gather at the Watersports Center for a cooler of refreshments as well as prizes, highlighted by plenty of It aint over til the coolers empty tee-shirts, and loads of Mount Gay hats.
Dave Hoffman, our overall champion from 2002, and Sally Sharpe, our overall champion from 2001, are returning. In addition, the grand prize draw for winner of our 2002 Sunday Regattas, Chuck Allen, is planning to attend this year. Good Luck to all!
For more information on the racing, e-mail overing@hotmail.com. Reserve your spot in the regatta by booking at 800-872-2392, or online. Qualified Sunday racers who placed or showed throughout 2001/2002, may also enter if space allows.
