Escape to Reconnect

When I arrived here at Bitter End in May to assume my duties as Managing Director, I was definitely pleased to have arrived at the remote and beautiful property I had heard so much about and visited on a couple of occasions, but I did not know all there was to know about what made this unique vacation destination tickand what has made it so popular with our guests who have returned many times over the past 30 years.
In my experience, the best way to learn about a resorts successes has been to seek out and listen to what the guests have to say about it. And what I found out was that there is no other place quite like Bitter End.
What immediately caught my attention was how much our guests had to say! You see, I know it is one thing to provide a nice vacation, but it is quite another to provide a place for people to completely relax and disconnect, a home away from home, where the guests are interested in the welfare of the resort and the staff as if they were next door neighbors.
One guest mentioned how well Bitter End provides the right mix of personal attention. From the warm welcome on the dock at arrival, to the manner in which the watersports staff completely rigs the equipment for every guest, providing a friendly and casual training session for novices or pointing out great sailing spots for old salts, to the chefs who, with little advance notice, will alter the menu to include more vegetarian dishes or the favorite dish for a longtime guest, I would most definitely agree. Our staff is not intrusive and they make everyone welcome and at ease. As another guest told me, we all feel like part of the family when we are at Bitter End.
Not that the only attraction is our wonderful staffthe location is high on most everyones list of why they return year after year. Another longtime guest has dubbed our little corner of the world the real Caribbean. He enjoys the tree-house-like Beachfronts, and the closeness to the surrounding environment they offer. For another guest, the remoteness means a romantic escape for her and her husband, while she can still enjoy her favorite Dove bar every day at the Emporiumboth light and dark chocolate!
All in all, the most serious drawback the resort has is the abundance of activities we offertoo many to accomplish in one visit! Our guests depart already planning their next visit, to do the things they missed this time around. Theres just so much to do at Bitter End, that it takes my mind off my cares, explained a recent guest, but sometimes all I needed to do was lounge by the pool and read a booknext time I will go to Anegada!
Whether you stay ashore, or visit by boat and stay in our mooring field, or dock side, I think you will find as I have over the past few months that Bitter End is an escapists paradise that will reinvigorate and recharge you.
