An Analogy
Skiing At Bitter End

For years, people have been trying to figure out what it is that makes Bitter End so unique, but also, so familiar and comfortable. After careful consideration, I have come up with an analogy that tries to explain this contrast. Bitter End is essentially a Caribbean Ski Resort!
Think about it for a minute. Imagine that the North Sound is tilted at a 45-degree angle. To the left, the Bunny trails. To the right, Intermediate terrain. Venture out of the lee of Virgin Gorda and you encounter advanced conditions. To the east, experience the challenge of bowl skiing in Eustatia Sound (Guide Required). The resort is equipped with equipment and personnel to accommodate all levels, both young and old. You arrive at the pro-shop (watersports) to fit your boots and skis. (Read, boat and sail).
The tanned, dashing instructors is getting ready to hit the slopes with their students. The powder/wind/spray is fresh, and the spirits are high. Skiers/sailors leave the school ready for a great day enjoying all that nature has to offer. Instructors recommend the proper equipment to match the students ability and the terrain to be skied/sailed. Off we go for a day of adventure on the slopes of the North Sound.
After an invigorating day on the slopes/seas, we retire to the Clubhouse (akin to a Lodge) to enjoy a drink among friends and relive the his and los of a great day spent enjoying nature.
So there you have it. Bitter End really has all the things that a top notch ski vacation has to offer, except for chapped lips, lift lines and cold, wet socks. Come on down and enjoy the warmest ski vacation you could ever imagine. Gordo Overing
