Paranda Keeps On Sailing Along

 |
Paranda returns from a day at the Baths. Captain Michael and First Mate Terry stand ready to make your day trip a memorable one. |
The Bitter Ends own Spronk-designed 48 racing catamaran Paranda has been a cornerstone of the activities program for almost 15 years, and Captain Michael Wheatley and First Mate Terry Marshal are key ingredients to her success.
Michael began working for Bitter End in the early 80s when the Watersports Center was nothing more than two telephone poles with a thatched roof. An excellent windsurfer, Michael would entertain guests with his freestyle exhibitions during his lunch break. When Paranda arrived on the scene, Michael was soon promoted to first mate and quickly became an expert catamaran driver. It was only a matter of time before Michael rose to the Captains position, where he has been ever since.
Terry is also a long time member of the Bitter End team. A native of Trinidad, Terry first came to Virgin Gorda in 1988. After a short stint working with Captain Poncho on the Prince of Wales, Terry moved over to the Whaler dock where he was in charge of our fleet of 20 runabouts. Eager to gain more experience, Terry joined Michael on Paranda to form the great team we have come to know and love.
Paranda takes to the blue-water of Sir Francis Drake Passage for sunset sails, and day-long excursions. So the next time you visit Bitter End, be sure to plan a trip with Michael and Terry. We guarantee that a great time will be had by all.
